Description

For women who gave birth in the 5 years before the survey, and whose child had a health check after discharge from the place of delivery, PNBABCKDISTM_ALL reports the amount of time that passed before the baby's health check.

PNBABCKDISTM_ALL consists of a set of six separate variables, covering the most recent birth (PNBABCKDISTM_01) up to the sixth-most-recent birth (i.e., PNBABCKDISTM_02, PNBABCKDISTM_03, PNBABCKDISTM_04, PNBABCKDISTM_05, and PNBABCKDISTM_06) during the reference period prior to the survey. If PNBABCKDISTM_ALL is included in a data extract, all these separate variables are included in a researcher's data file.

See the related variable PNBABCKDIS_ALL for more information.

This variable differs from the similar variable PNBABCKTM_ALL, in that PNBABCKDISTM_ALL is specifically about checkups after discharge from a medical facility, whereas PNBABCKTM_ALL reports the amount of time that passed before the baby's health checkup irrespective of discharge from a medical facility.

Comparability

PNBABCKDISTM_ALL has no comparability problems.

Comparability - Standard DHS

PNBABCKDISTM_ALL is a country-specific variable, and it is not included in any phase of the standard DHS women's questionnaire.
